Installation and Use

Pentair centrifugal pumps deliver strong dependable performance for the most demanding jobs.

WHAT'S IN THE BOX?

As well as your Cleanload Nexus, you will find a mounting point and bracket to secure Cleanload Nexus onto the sprayer, or to a wall or work bench, A 4 metre suction hose and a 2.5 metre rinse water hose along with suitable hose tails and clamps. Depending on the particular requirements of your installation, you will also need to ask your sprayer parts supplier for suitable tee fittings, valves, check valves, dry-break couplers and a bracket or a stand.

WHAT DO I NEED?

A SECURE MOUNTING POINT

The bracket that is supplied with Cleanload Nexus can be fitted directly onto sprayer, a wall, floor stand or bench. A removable bolt secures the Cleanload Nexus to the mounting point.

The mounting must be able to bear a 40kg load and be at a suitable working height and Cleanload Nexus must be protected from dust, dirt and impact.

CONNECTion TO SPRAYER SUCTION

The 1 inch x 4m suction hose that is supplied can be connected by teeing it directly into the sprayer suction line ahead of the venturi or using a suitable dry-break coupler as shown here (not included). 

Suction should be at least -0.7 bar for most efficient emptying.

CONNECTion TO CLEAN RINSE WATER

The 16 mm (I/D) x 2.5 metre rinse water hose that is is supplied should connect to a clean rinse water source on or odd the sprayer.  

Rinse water pressure should be at least 5 bar for the most effective rinsing.

The plumbing layout from the installation manual is shown here. The hose can be used for measuring < 1 litre from a bottle and it must be possible to lift it when measuring and lower it to drain, but avoid bends that could trap chemical residue. Note: that there is no valve between the Cleanload Nexus and the venturi, this is to prevent the risk of rinse being operated when suction of closed.

INSTALLATION ON THE SPRAYER

Installation on the sprayer

Where space allows, installing Cleanload Nexus onto a sprayer is the most convenient option. Ideally it should be positioned above the venturi. Space must be allowed for rotation of the handle and of the largest chemical bottle. 

Eventually Cleanload Nexus will replace the induction bowl on the sprayer. In the meantime the filling area can be redesigned to include a permanently plumbed and mounted Cleanload Nexus.

TEMPORARY CONNECTION WHILE FILLING

Installation off the sprayer

Installing off the sprayer at the filling location can be equally successful. In this case temporary connections to the sprayer suction and clean water supply should be planned; for example by sourcing suitable dry-break couplers.

Here, the Cleanload Nexus  is mounted on a simple stand with a dry break coupling to the existing suction inlet and rinse water drawn from an external supply.
